Airspace crash protection using a net (catamaran)

Hello!

We have an approximately 12 sqm open space in the house and would like to combine the pleasant with the useful by stretching a net similar to that of a catamaran (see picture). However, on one longitudinal side there is a conservatory. The net cannot be attached there. We are thinking of a metal frame to which the net will be attached, which will only be screwed in the area of the remaining opening (timber frame construction). Has anyone of you already realized something like this? From one company we only received a standard response regarding the attachment, and the answer from another company is still pending. I would be grateful for tips and advice!

That doesn’t help at all, but I’m totally torn about what to make of it Somehow cool and special, but then again quite a gimmick (do people really use that?). I’m definitely curious (ha! ) what will come of it - feel free to let us be part of it.

I would very probably not set a single step on it. Even if it were glass: I wouldn't do it.
A net also swings, my mind just can't keep up with that.

But you actually have an airspace so that you have free space over different floors without, for example, an optical barrier.

I actually don’t understand how anyone can spoil the beautiful airspace with a dust-catching net. Probably you go on it once, lie down, then realize it’s boring and never use the net again.
