Airspace above kitchen area

We have an air space above the kitchen island and you can hear the clattering of dishes very loudly because it echoes a lot. However, it looks really amazing. When building a house, you always have to make a decision between function and appearance; in this case, we chose the appearance.

I don't necessarily think the clattering of dishes applies here, since it's not a classic gallery, but rather closed off on the upper floor and only has 2-3 windows.

So it should then be closed off? Like to the upper floor hallway with a wall? hmm.... however, with a family one should probably make use of the living space rather than set a semi-highlight. I wouldn't do it.

There is simply a completely different feeling of living with open space

Even though the question was different: How do the bathrooms drain? And: I'm just a burned child.... Such a cabin and then the children eavesdrop on the parents' bedroom and vice versa
