Air/water or air/air heat pump for a new single-family house of 150 sqm?

Hello

There are surely already similar topics regarding my question, but many terms still seem like foreign words to me.

Our problem:
We are planning to build a new single-family house of 150 sqm in timber frame construction (prefabricated house) for 2016/2017.
The "price promotion" from the construction company includes an air/air heat pump (Nibe750) for €9000.
In our building area, neither a natural gas connection nor geothermal energy is possible. We do not want to have either a gas or oil tank.
We are now facing the question: air/air heat pump or air/water heat pump?
What are the advantages & disadvantages? What do we need to consider in our decision-making?

Our ideas so far:
- Underfloor heating
- Possibly solar
- Empty conduits for possibly photovoltaics at some point are planned
- Controlled residential ventilation

Now my question to you:
Have you ever faced a similar decision & what experience have you had?
Is an air/water heat pump really relatively loud?
Maybe someone can give us information who is professionally familiar with the heating subject.

Many thanks in advance for reading my questions

Air/water works with underfloor heating. Air/air does not work with underfloor heating.

In both cases, energy is extracted from the air following the reverse refrigerator principle. This is difficult in winter, and in summer you don’t need it. Since nothing else is possible for you, take air/water... unless it is a KfW40 or better house and you have no children who constantly open the door in winter.

You can forget about solar thermal – photovoltaics might be interesting for you (your heating systems run on electricity).

What might be a good alternative for you is a brine/water heat pump with ground collectors (not deep drilling, but flat collectors) – of course, this depends somewhat on the size of your property.

Best regards.

Thank you very much for your quick response.

The plot is very large. About 2500 sqm, no slope.
Thanks for the tip about the pink forum. I will have a look there right away.

In this case, I would definitely consider [Erdkollektoren]. Relatively reasonable investment costs (compared to deep drilling) and good annual performance factors even in winter (if properly designed).

What do you mean by properly installed?

Laid out - not installed. Collector area too small --> it will eventually freeze, and then the performance will plummet. Too large a collector area also becomes uneconomical. The whole thing simply has to fit the location, soil, heat demand, etc. But then it is definitely worth considering.
