Does a monoblock even make sense for a single-family house? I already know the differences, but I find it difficult to make a decision...

At the beginning, I would have rather said: "indoor installation" or "split," but not "outdoor installation."

What is installed most frequently? What are the trends?

Could the neighbor be disturbed by the noise from an outdoor monoblock? The devices are noticeably louder, aren't they?

Mmh...so both are from the same manufacturer anyway. I would ask one to have the offer rewritten for the heat pump from the other offer so that you can compare. But I can tell you right away, the pure "euro comparison" won’t help you much.

Because if craftsman A just sticks to his routine and doesn’t want to negotiate or uses the standard 08/15 scheme, it can end up being worse for you than craftsman B who does a proper design and sizing and adapts the system planning to your wishes.

I see it exactly that way! I somehow also have concerns if I just let the whole thing be done by the general contractor and don’t get involved myself... I’m also considering possibly having the trades "heating" and "ventilation" taken out—hence the cost estimates! That way I could talk to the installer I trust and have something properly calculated... How do you proceed there?

The heating issue is so opaque.. The GCs don’t really want to tackle it either, presumably that will only happen once the planning is complete and we get closer to the whole thing.

But I would never sign such an offer... I need much more information here, which the GC can’t really provide. That’s why I’m asking about value estimates etc., so that I can march over to the heating engineer and get straight to the point here.

Unfortunately, nothing is eligible for funding; the pumps must achieve a seasonal performance factor of over 4.5.

So, honestly now:

Before I sign an offer or go into the final stages with a company and want to decide for it:

Shouldn't I know exactly which model is being used here and what the heating load generally is for my single-family house?
