Wood gasifiers are usually located in the heating cellar or heating room. If this is not in the basement, I would immediately install an exterior door to bring the wood directly in there.

Now that I’m thinking about the figure of only 5 cubic meters to heat an entire house, it really becomes clear why you overheat the room right away with such a wood stove. You simply don’t need much wood to keep the place warm.

It’s also a question of whether 2 cubic meters over the wood stove or 7 cubic meters over the wood gasifier really makes that much of a difference. You don’t have dirt in the living area and you save yourself the heat pump + wood stove.

The only downside: You can’t watch the fire.
Otherwise, in my opinion, just advantages. Especially if you already have the wood...
If you want to save money with the wood stove in the apartment with a water jacket, it will take many, many years to recoup the investment costs. With the wood gasifier, the economic consideration is definitely better, as I see it.
