Hello everyone I would like to get a new split air conditioning unit. The previous one has been broken for 2 years, apparently the ship from China with the spare parts sank. In any case, it is not expected that the repair will still be possible. Since the little thing was broken more often than it worked, and I would be left with the costs if something were to happen again, I am considering a replacement, but I don't want the same hassle as before. So either a reasonable warranty or the cheapest of the cheap that you just throw away after 2 years. Of course, I would prefer a decent device with a warranty. So far, the favorite was Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. But in the product descriptions and with a Google search, I find absolutely nothing on the subject of warranty. So far, I only find Midea/Comfee, they offer 3 years. However, they are a "cheaper" provider. Or wouldn't the 5-year warranty from the craft business have to apply when installing a split air conditioning unit? I bought the current unit at [Metro] and had it installed by a specialist company. However, the defect is a power surge (very likely). The fire insurance would want to check that, but without spare parts that doesn't help. And the warranty does not cover damages that occur during normal operation, does it? If anyone has manufacturer recommendations or any other advice, please feel free to share :)
