Advantages of a freestanding bathtub

Greetings! Do you see any advantages to a freestanding bathtub? Apart from the fact that many people are currently raving about it because it is supposedly more beautiful and exclusive, I see no advantages at all. - more expensive - more to clean - takes up more space - usually requires more expensive plumbing as well

Advantage: appearance. That's it :)

But there are more disadvantages. 90% are very uncomfortable. We searched for a long time.

We also have one and I wouldn't want to do without it.

I wouldn’t even do it if it were cheaper.

I think it just stands there awkwardly.

I’m already looking forward to my 90x190 tub that will be installed nicely unobtrusively.
Completely tiled up to the ceiling with the floor tile, of course.

I fully agree with that...

I don't even like it visually. I actually like the tub nestled against the wall, with platforms all around.

A bathroom does not always have to be just a bathroom, but can sometimes be a more spacious bathroom. When all the bathing elements are pushed against the walls, a strange open space forms in the middle. So the bathtub is moved back slightly towards the center of the room. The washbasin is difficult to move because of the mirror, the shower because of the splash guard. Only the bathtub remains. Advantages? I wouldn't know any, except for using unnecessary space. Nevertheless, we have one specified in the contract because of the open bathroom, and the bathtub is then placed along the [balcony railing]. An installed bathtub would look strange there.
