Hello everyone,

I am looking for tips, or rather, I would like to have more opinions.

We built new a few years ago. KfW Efficiency House 55 with heat pump. Everything wonderful, energy demand really manageable.

Now we have had a baby, meaning we have to raise the temperature in the bathroom (previously around 22 degrees, which was easily doable with the heat pump). One possibility would be to raise the entire heating curve, that is clear to me - but that surely does not make sense because of just one room. The higher temperature is also only needed occasionally (when our little one is bathing, etc.)

The bathroom is about 20 sqm.
Even if the thermostat is set to 25 degrees, we only reach a maximum of 22 degrees.

Currently we supplement the heating with a fan heater. But we do not want to do that anymore.....

Do you have a tip for an additional heating option? It should look good and make economic sense.

Do you have experience with infrared heaters? Opinions on that, please. Are they suitable for our needs (see above)?

Thanks and best regards Christian

There would be an infrared radiator option (die 5-Wörter-Regel ist wirklich blöd)

If your little one is brand new and it's only about changing/dressing, buy yourself an electric heater from Reer or similar.
They are also available well-used on classifieds.

You don't need it for very long. Eventually, a towel or bathrobe is enough after the bath.

Such a quartz heater. These are the things that glow red when they are on. Why? Because they generate heat the fastest and turn off immediately when switched off, as they do not store heat. They may not be the most attractive to look at, but they work best. When the children are older, you can take it down again.
