Hello everyone,

we are currently planning a single-family house with about 150sqm living space.
We do not yet know whether we want to build according to Kfw 70. Is it possible to express the additional costs compared to the standard in %? Besides, I am wondering which measures are necessary to achieve this standard at all. As you can surely tell, we are still at the beginning of all planning. But I am looking forward to your answers.

Greetings from the Sauerland!!

Good evening,

No, that is not possible. This is because many factors come into play. The plot of land and the single-family house to be built can only be considered together.

With optimal orientation of the plot to the sun, it is usually triple glazing, stronger insulation, and suitably selected technology.

Read up here on the HBF; you will find a lot of information that will help you progress with your house construction. It is a bit tedious to always answer the same questions when everything can be read here multiple times ;)

Rhineland greetings

As Bauexperte already said, just let a professional calculate.

A brief addition:

KfW 70 doesn’t just mean cheap money from the KfW! It also means energy efficiency. In other words, immediate effort and earning the returns over the term.....

Hello everyone, the question is only whether the cheap money is enough for the implementation of the measures ([KFW70, 55])... also, the favorable conditions are only available for 10 years... after that, refinancing is done at market-standard interest rates, right? So you would have to repay a large part of the [KFW] funds within the first 10 years for it to really be worth it. Or am I wrong? We completely waived [KFW] funds because you have to prove everything to the bank to get the favorable conditions. Which does not mean that we do not build energy-efficiently... but we have no proof obligation to get [KFW] funds. Even the houses built according to the Energy Saving Ordinance 2009 are not energy guzzlers... Regards Fragri

As I said, not just cheap money. You also have real energy efficiency. But there are certainly smart programs that calculate this.
