Hello everyone,
we are currently working on the exterior plaster and the plasterer now says that I should please spend an additional 3000 Euros for items he strongly recommends and which were not included in the tender.
Specifically, these are:
Additional base plaster as fiber-reinforced lime cement lightweight plaster on highly insulating masonry
and
Full-surface fabric smoothing on the south and west sides to reduce cracks on highly insulating masonry.
My house consists of 36cm bricks with integrated insulation (I can’t find the brick name right now), the ceilings are made of reinforced concrete with 10cm of Styrofoam-like material as exterior insulation – as well as the concrete belt directly beneath the roof timbers.
2 questions about this:
1. Should I commission it, is it sensible?
2. Shouldn’t the architect have included this in the tender if it is necessary?
Regards
Roger
