Acceptance of Common Property - Defects/Outstanding Work

Good evening everyone, I came across this forum and hope you can provide me with an answer to my concern. Last week we had our community property acceptance with all owners. There were some defects or remaining work that still need to be completed. The construction company sent the final invoices with the total amount two days later, withholding €5000 from each owner until the defects are expected to be completed by the end of May. Now emails are circulating among us owners saying that the withholding is far too low and that much more should be withheld. Unfortunately, I was too quick and, as I said, have paid everything except the €5000. Should I be worried about this? What could happen in the worst case?

Over 70 defects were listed in the acceptance protocol. Major defects/remaining works included the outdoor area not being finished or only just started, and presumably the balconies were not properly insulated, so it was always said there was no Isofix.

And you can't take legal action? The defects/remaining work were recorded in the protocol.
