Hello,
we would like to heat our new house (in Germany) using geothermal energy. Problem: According to information from the responsible state office for geology, our property is located in an area of level 4. Geothermal energy use is only permit-worthy there in exceptional cases. Furthermore, our soil is less suitable for geothermal collectors according to the map (level 3). To me, the soil seems very heavy and clayey. Under these circumstances, should I better give up the project "geothermal energy use"? Or is it worth negotiating with the responsible authorities and possibly investing more money in the installation of the collectors?
