What is your experience with the current doorbells? I would like a video function that at least records the ringing events. Of course, also with night vision, etc. Basically, it's enough for me to have a monitor in the hallway. Not all mobile devices need to ring.

Unfortunately, I haven't found any really meaningful opinions, or they are already outdated. What is your opinion? Is 2-wire or LAN more worthwhile? Which video system could you recommend? I would like to say thank you in advance. Christian

If you are building anyway, then lay down LAN there. It can also be used as 2-wire.

Clearly both! Both 2-wire and LAN belong on the doorbell system.

So there is both. I would lay LAN; it is more flexible and future-proof. I have 2-wire but am totally satisfied, so that would also be okay.

Thanks in advance for your answers. Do you generally have a recommendation for a LAN doorbell? I have the feeling that there are either quite cheap ones or alternatively the well-known brands like BuschJäger, Siedle, etc... There doesn't seem to be a real "test winner." I would therefore be grateful for any further tips. Thanks to you.

Since the tasks and requirements of the users are sometimes very different, there are no real test winners. Everyone has the standard functions on board, and the extras are what distinguish them.
