Your opinion/experience about comfortable roof overhang

Hello,

the house company asked us if we want so-called comfort roof overhangs. The roof overhangs are about 50cm longer on all sides with this solution. Cost: approx. 1400,- euros

Seller back and forth: does it make a difference in practice? Is the house wall somewhat better protected? Visually it doesn't look better or worse. Your opinions/experiences?

if it doesn’t blow you away visually, then I would save the money. I don’t see a necessity for more comfort and protection of the facade.
