XPS (Styrodur, Jackodur) only filling gaps instead of plastering?

can defined XPS boards be filled instead of plastered? If yes, which products can be used for this?

You want to leave them raw then? Unprotected? Or do you want to stick strips on them? Or wood in front? What’s the plan? Which filler? Outside on a gypsum basis, don’t do that. EP filler would hold, but is damn expensive. Karsten

Sorry, forgot to write that the XPS boards are installed indoors. So I'm looking for an alternative to plastering, if that makes any sense. Or is a bonding plaster better and then plaster afterwards?

Ok, inside. So it should be painted? Ask the painter if that’s possible: filling, then a primer, that stuff absorbs very little, then paint instead of plaster. Ask around. Karsten
