Good morning,

I live in an apartment with wooden windows. The wooden windows date back to 1994 and have only ONE rubber seal. I have already adjusted the windows and also increased the pressure on the window frames. Unfortunately, I still feel that cold air is coming in and the acoustics (passing cars) are not optimal.

Now I have considered the following two options.

[*]Buy Tesa Moll and stick it to the places marked in red in the pictures.
[*]Buy black acrylic and instead of Tesa Moll, apply a nice bead of acrylic and wait until it dries.

What do you think of the two options? What would you do?

My goal is to achieve better sealing and noise insulation.

Thank you in advance for hopefully many suggestions and tips.

is the window expert here. Maybe he also has a tip for such a "trivial" question?

I also own old windows (>40 years), but unfortunately made of plastic. I was advised to replace the seals that become brittle and inelastic and therefore cannot properly "fit" to the frame. This causes the perceived and probably also existing leaks.

I consider acrylic nonsense: what is hard will not seal - as you can see for yourself with the existing seals that have hardened. Tesamoll would be somewhat worse, but replacing the seals with new ones is the right way.
