Wood and aluminum windows - Which manufacturer, recommendations?

We intend to purchase wood-aluminum windows as part of our new construction. The total window area is approximately 56 sqm and includes, among other things, a lift-and-slide door element as well as many floor-to-ceiling windows. We are building without a general contractor and would like to inquire about windows directly.

According to my research, the selection of suppliers is very large. We are looking for a reasonable price-performance ratio. I do not necessarily want to contact 10 suppliers either.

Does anyone have a recommendation or tips on which manufacturer I can turn to that offers a decent price-performance ratio?

Well, I can confirm that, I had a quote made by the Pax dealer.
In the end, he didn't want to take the order himself either, as with 87,000 it would have exceeded his security framework and the partially 250kg windows would have been too heavy for him.

Pretty crazy, plastic windows from the general contractor would have been around 30,000.

"Pharmacy price" is relative. On the one hand, the price-performance feeling of most home builders is skewed. This has to do with the fact that windows come relatively late in the process and the temptation is great to catch a runaway budget at this point. This makes many customers tend to choose plastic, even if they would have preferred something else otherwise. On the other hand, it makes them susceptible to cheap offers that appear flawless on the surface. With windows, quality simply shows up later than with shoes.

And thirdly – but ultimately based on the above-described motivation for the plastic preference – in the aluminum window sector there are customers who want to spend more money and also demonstrate this. This keeps the price level for aluminum at a more sustainable level.

If someone then adds a spoonful of caviar and asks for wood-aluminum, this can (because it is more complex and mastered by far fewer manufacturers) in a market economy be nothing less than even more expensive. So you do get a decent value, but the price-comparison spoiled consumer naturally thinks, "These Romans are crazy."

That’s why I always say for wood-aluminum that it is clearly not for cash patients. You pay for that with the platinum card. in my circle of friends, predominantly wood-aluminum windows from Döpfner have been installed. So far, everyone is very satisfied.

I also had the windows quoted. Additional cost compared to plastic windows is 30%. Whether the additional cost is justified is for each person to decide.
