Withdraw the building application according to §65 to submit according to §64

I wanted to ask if it is possible to withdraw a building application according to §65 in order to submit it according to §64. Our goal is to save the fees for the §65 and also shorten the deadlines. Is this possible, or does the fee have to be paid as soon as the application is submitted, or only when it is approved?

If you mean the switch between the simplified and regular procedure: Yes, that is possible. A fee must be paid for the withdrawn application, which is based on the examination effort incurred up to that point (but is significantly lower than the regular fee). That is exactly what we went through and had to pay 10% of the standard rate at that time.
