Hello,
Two years ago we built a timber frame house with wood fiber insulation boards and aluminum window sills / window ledges on the outside.
I have just now noticed that the window sills / ledges can be pressed down in the middle without any problems. It seems to me that they are not properly installed or fixed, or fully glued, and only rest on the reveals on the left and right, with a complete hollow space underneath.
Since it is a prefabricated house, this was of course already installed at the factory and I could not see it.
Now the question is whether this is really correct (because it is like this at every window), or if it was not properly mounted (possibly there are regulations or guidelines for this).
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards
