Hello, I am currently having the windows replaced in our single-family house (built in 1980). The whole process is being carried out "according to RAL installation". Old wooden windows are being removed, new plastic windows installed. I have two questions - also considering that this is the first time I am experiencing a window replacement "live" and I do not fully trust the craftsmen. 1. After two windows have been replaced, I notice that the new windows are not completely flush with the inner windowsill. There is a gap of about 0.5 - 1 cm. Is this "normal" and can it simply be sealed with silicone or acrylic? 2. The gap between the masonry and the window is filled with PU foam. As a finish, strips are glued onto the cut foam. Does this procedure correspond to a RAL installation? I have tried to find information online and here only diffusion-open or closed sealing tapes are mentioned as a finish... Many thanks!
