Hello everyone,
I am new here and am currently building with a construction company. Today, an acquaintance of ours was at the construction site to measure the front door, since we are not having it installed by the construction company and are obtaining it from the acquaintance or his employer. The acquaintance, who is also a window installer, criticized the windows installed by the construction company. He was of the opinion that sealing foil should be installed all around the window. In our entire house and in other houses built by the construction company, it is only applied underneath. I have attached a picture. Now we are unsure whether the installation method is still correct and if window installers simply have different installation methods that might still be correct. Additionally, he believed that for large windows, a bracket should have been installed in the middle. Currently, the window can be wobbled with moderate force at the middle bar. I would be grateful for any information on this!
