Why airtightness and what does it mean?

Hello everyone,

my builder told me upon inquiry that if I want to install spots or speakers or similar in the ceiling (ground floor) or a touch panel in the wall, I must ensure airtightness, for which the Thermo-X mounting boxes could be used.

Now I have a few questions:

1. What exactly does airtightness mean here, even though I can of course imagine it, and what effect does it have in the interior?

2. Why do I have to ensure this in the ground floor ceiling and an interior wall?

3. On the upper floor, am I only allowed to install spots in a suspended ceiling? Why is that?

Note: The house is being built in timber frame construction.

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Christian

Because otherwise moisture will penetrate the construction and it will mold

Cool, a house where you are not even allowed to hammer a plug or nail into the wall or ceiling.

If an installation level is planned, then yes.

Then such an LCD display should also not pose any major problems.
