Hello everyone,
I have a question about the valuation of a used prefab house. For that, I need the price from 1995.
Does anyone have experience with this?

It is a prefab house from the company Weiss in timber frame construction with a prefabricated basement.
Pitched roof with 1.5 floors, approx. 150 m² of living space.

It would be great if someone could remember the old prices. Thanks a lot in advance!

Best regards!

What did you need the old prices for? The value of the house is not determined by the past, but by the current situation of supply and demand. The house price back then could have been around TDM 150 plus the base plate/basement plus special requests plus additional construction costs. Current value? Without involving an appraiser or observing the market (e.g., through an ad on i...Scout) not even remotely estimable.

My uncle had a holiday apartment directly on Lake Ammer. Bought in 1990 for a hefty 200,000DM. Sold last year for nearly 350,000€. Supply and demand.... The old price might be interesting, but not meaningful, since there was even a currency switch in between. € times 2 just doesn't work. If I were to do that, I would have to cry

Thank you very much for the first answers!

Everything is correct - but how can I estimate the market value of a property if I do not know the prices from back then and today.
So if you are a complete layman and you like a house, but you do not know whether the substance is worth 100 or 300 thousand euros.

See it like the others. This old price is irrelevant.

I had to find out myself that the production cost for a house I purchased, which is 2 years old, was just as irrelevant ...

... and not to forget the value of the established garden and property, which seems very elaborate to me. Besides the house, it is also quite "valuable"...
