(White) bathroom paint or colorful dispersion paint in the bathroom?

Hello home builders!

We are currently facing the question of which color to use on the un-tiled wall surfaces in the bathroom.
My impression is that special bathroom paint should be used in the bathroom, presumably with all kinds of chemical anti-mold-anti-XYZ additives.
However, in the two hardware stores in Göttingen and in a specialty store, we unfortunately did not come across any bathroom paint that is at least certified with the Blue Angel.
Assuming one could get bathroom paint nearby that is compatible in terms of ingredients, could this be mixed with colored (dispersion) paint without destroying the properties of the bathroom paint?

Is special bathroom paint generally recommended in new buildings, or would you rather advise normal dispersion paint, which can definitely be mixed without problems?

Best regards,
Christian

I have regular dispersion paint. I wouldn't want that chemical stuff. With sufficient ventilation, I haven't had any problems with the paint so far. Otherwise, I might consider natural materials that regulate moisture "on their own." Friends covered a wall in the bathroom with "slate boards" made of untreated softwood. It looks good and regulates moisture. It doesn't mold and smells good.

Dispersionsfarbe is enough - just pick a nice color!

The bathroom needs to be ventilated, and if you do that, you can use completely "ordinary" paint, although I generally buy my paints from a specialist retailer or a painter, brands like Caparol and others. There have never been any problems with that, and color-wise you can mix anything; so a "special" bathroom paint is not necessary.

How big is the bathroom? With a tiny bathroom, I would be more cautious. I used regular dispersion paint and never had a problem in any bathroom.

Thank you!
Moisture-regulating objects in the bathroom are an interesting idea

On the ground floor 7.01 sqm, on the upper floor 9.20 sqm.
Both with (unfortunately rather small) windows.

Ventilation is provided by our controlled residential ventilation system once it is operational.
Until then, of course, only through the windows.
