Here’s a question for the hobby designers among you:

We have planned an open living-dining-kitchen space. In the living room, we are laying laminate in Oak Fattoria color, the kitchen has Fango Matt color with small orange accents. The kitchen tiles thus directly adjoin the laminate.
Tiles are absolutely necessary in the kitchen (we have dogs who like to generously spread water next to their bowls). I am completely at a loss as to which tile color might match this combination.
The kitchen consultant said that rather dark colors are usually chosen. Originally, I had light gray in mind – which my husband doesn’t really like.

Does anyone have a concrete idea of what could go well there?

Many thanks!

Hello Jeanette,
But you know during the sampling that it is one room!
The floor is wild in brown shades, the kitchen in the same room more taupe... At least that's what the www pictures tell me.
Now I already have mental problems if I imagine that your furniture will have a completely different tone (patterned sofa, wood, birch... .?)
Well then: a suggestion, without having made a drawing...
White tiles and the darker laminate wood tone then as kitchen wall color (so that a harmonious overall picture is created). Then the white of the tile again as wall color in the living area, possibly an accent wall with the Fango ;)
Or what about these orange accents? Could these be from the color scheme of the laminate? If yes, then this color - orange would be something daring ;)
Unfortunately, I have hardly ever seen a good surface of the Fango in pictures, maybe you should upload pictures here or also the floor plan of the room.
Otherwise, I give you the tip to draw the colors into the plan with colored pencils. There is a parallel thread here about bathroom tiles - how to best proceed.
Colors should not duel in the room: one main tone, then an accent color... Or several colors from one palette.
For a connection then the neutral white.

Maybe this nougat tone from the laminate also matches the kitchen... I really can't see it well!

We have grey tiles on the ground floor and corridors - brown ones in the bedrooms and bathrooms. In addition, grey interior doors and many wooden pieces of furniture. I have no idea if it looks good or like a circus in the end :D
