Which natural oak farmhouse plank structured

Hello everyone,

we are looking for the right country-style floorboards and somehow we haven't been able to find the right ones so far because the pictures on the internet always look different and turn out differently.

What we want is:

country-style floorboard
large size (approx. 20 cm width)
in natural oak
textured
slightly rustic

Oiled usually looks nicer, but because of the children, we have always been advised to use sealed finishes so far.

It would be great if you could maybe post a few pictures and also write which model it is with measurements. Anyone who wants can also include a rough price range per sqm.

Would not use sealed, but oiled. You can much better inconspicuously retouch it. Sealed you can only sand and reseal. Scratches disappear quickly with oil, if they are not too deep! We have tried both with children. The only problem is water, oil cannot handle that.

Hi, no idea if it’s still urgent for you. Meanwhile, we have focused on the Parador products and are currently waiting for two planks to review. They have a program with 2200*200 country house planks in various oak versions. Market prices start at just under €40/sqm, going up to about 80.

, that’s what I was told as well. Painted/sealed is probably more stable at first, but you can’t get rid of a scratch there anymore. With oiling, you can supposedly get it away somewhat?!? Was that your experience too?

Hi Andreas, yes, light scratches that do not go through the wood can be easily removed. Clean it, oil it, and done. If you were sparing with the oil, it won't be visible afterwards. Try that on lacquered wood... no chance! I once had a wooden kitchen countertop, after oiling it always looked like new.
