Hello dear members,

an acquaintance of mine has a frost-proof outdoor faucet that became leaky. According to the invoice from 2014, the installer installed a faucet from the company Kemper. The company Kemper has confirmed to me that it is not one of their faucets. However, I have not found any comparable models from other manufacturers either. (Die Installateurfirma existiert leider nicht mehr)

Does anyone here know the manufacturer?

Furthermore, the internal parts cannot be removed even though I have loosened the screw connection. Unfortunately, the pipes inside are also not accessible without having to break open the wall. Ideally, I would like to simply check and repair or replace the internal parts. I lack the tools for major work.

Thank you very much in advance and have a nice Saturday everyone.

The slider itself is located about 25 cm further inside the wall. In my opinion, it cannot be replaced that easily.

Thank you for the answer. My hope would be that the seal, which presses against the slide, is only damaged, but for that I would need to get the part out. If I had the manufacturer, that could certainly be helpful. In general, I find the whole installation strange, as there is no additional shut-off valve except for one for the entire house. All the pipes also just disappear into the wall. My training was 20 years ago, and although I do work on things from time to time, I have never seen anything like this.

You can just hire any installer. He will know where to get the parts. Maybe the spindle with valve slider can be removed?

She did try that, but it was difficult to get one. Now they are on vacation, which is why I looked at it. If I don’t find a permanent solution, I will improvise so they can use everything normally and have a few more months before the first frost comes. I could have repaired a Kemper valve with minimal effort. The idea that the spindle is connected to the valve slider is obvious.

Maybe someone happens to know the manufacturer of the valve; if not, as I said, I will improvise until a plumber has time to do it properly.

With my Kemper, it is written in large letters. You probably don’t have a Kemper then.
