Hi dear Ikeans,
my girlfriend and I are looking for 2 new sofas. These should be placed parallel and lengthwise to the TV.
We would like to have so-called slipcover sofas. Since the living room itself is only about 3.60m deep, the sofas should be around 2m wide.
We really like the look of Extorp as a three-seater and Backabro.
The advantage of Ektorp is of course the price. The gray version would cost around 300-400€ per sofa, a great price.
However, the couch is 2.18m wide and you often read about flat cushions, which also constantly slip.
Backabro is only 2.10m, so visually a space saver. But the price is almost 700€, we actually don't need sofa beds.
In local furniture stores, slipcover sofas cost about 3000€ each, which is out of our budget.
On the internet I only find Max Harmony slipcover sofa, costs 900€ each, which is okay. Unfortunately, you cannot judge the color and quality, no fabric samples are available.
Therefore, we are torn between Ektorp and Backabro. Both would be wide enough for lying down. The 2-seater version of Ektorp would be too small though.
What would you recommend?
