Hello everyone,

at the end of next week, a reinforced concrete column will be cast at a corner of a room. I would like to integrate a switch into it, to which I will then connect an empty conduit that goes up through the ceiling.

Which box is suitable for this? Halox? Normal flush-mounted boxes will probably be crushed by the in-situ concrete.

Best regards

Styrofoam block, I would take. Then fix this on/in the formwork and let the empty conduit end in it. Also secure the pipe in the reinforcement well against slipping. A socket at that location can't hurt either.

Thank you. Styrofoam is probably the best solution. Thanks for the tips.

If you prefer to have something ready-made, normally you use Kaiser concrete boxes for such purposes, e.g. from the B1 series. You can attach them with counter bearings (fixing via adhesive film, nail, or dowel) and supporting elements to the formwork, or via [Prefix]-wings to the reinforcement.
