What structural information would I never post publicly in the forum

The first offers are coming in. That made me wonder how detailed I want to publish sketches from architects, offer lists from GCs, etc. here in the forum.

I understand the more details, the better the help can be. But the forum is public and
- everyone might then see my parcel and know who I am,
- architectural plans and offer drawings are probably subject to copyright, unless they are freely available on the web,
- even if I only say "planned based on model x from company y," "adjusted at the following points," and then list everything, my GC might be reading along. Good or not?

How have you weighed such things? Are there tips, guidelines, etc.?

Thanks!

So? At least you can make it difficult for us with redactions. Otherwise, hardly anyone here cares where you live. Don’t flatter yourself about your neighborhood. Depends on your contracts. ... then most people here are out because reading is totally annoying. If anything, pictures to make it easy to understand. Feel free to look around the forum. If you want good responses, do it like everyone else and post meaningful pictures. No one has complained in recent years (about us having found them / GC/general contractor/developer, that pictures are posted here & co.). At least I am not aware of any case. And you will find a lot of plans, sketches, drawings, and offers. Post with sense and sensitivity, then it works well. And now, go ahead with your questions!

I weighed it so that I only participate in your main thread at all because your situation as an FAQ situation is also interesting for many readers. In terms of the mental effort involved, I should have actually left you unattended because questioners who are stingy with background information are pretty much the nightmare of any advisor. There are so many tips and guidelines from me here that one can arrive at my individual advice by entering the titles of my mentioned external contributions (including the quotation marks in the search phrase) (and now even a bit faster thanks to the signature). Here in the forum, I only "treat" my advisees in the emergency room (free of charge in exchange for publicity = benefit for readers of the answer). Data protection for the documents necessary for more precise diagnoses unfortunately only works in a private room for private patients – but here an association ensures that it remains affordable even for those with statutory health insurance.

Who cares? Should we come visit you? Ew, no thanks. Definitely no direct contact with people who want to help me.
No, seriously? After the third hour everyone here has forgotten about you. Nobody cares who you are and where you live – unless it’s relevant to the matter. But it’s up to you whether you want to get help. I don’t care who I reply to.

Reminds me a bit of users who are afraid that neighbors from the upstairs apartment could see and watch them in the garden – as if they were that interesting :D

Why should he read along? He’s probably drinking champagne with his in-laws because his kid was on vacation there or swimming lengths in the indoor pool because his doctor prescribed exercise due to his at-risk heart. In short: He either has things to do or a private life.
Or do you secretly spy on your customers in private?

But you’re right: that’s exactly why we told the general contractor we were doing a construction blog. And accordingly, he behaved well.

If the necessary information is missing, one often wastes their time unnecessarily. What should definitely be avoided here is posting links.
