hello, I want to plant a natural hedge in my garden. Until now I had a hedge made of conifers, but it not only looks boring, it also acidifies my soil. What should be included in such a hedge, it should be shrubs that are beautiful and useful!

Natural Hedge

Hello Ziegel A hedge made up solely of conifers is truly not very varied. First of all, diversity naturally plays a big role in making the hedge appear more natural. Firethorn, sea buckthorn, and serviceberry are already a good start. In between, hazelnut plants, which also bear edible fruits, would fit perfectly. To have greenery in the hedge even in winter, you should also add holly. Hope this is enough as a little suggestion; the main thing for a beautiful natural hedge is diversity.
