What kind of flooring is this?

Who has an idea what kind of material this is? It was installed in a mountain hut as floor tiles, but probably also as wall panels, likely in the 1980s.

This picture shows a hole about 4cm deep in the floor. The wood chips in the hole do not belong to the panel.

This is a wall in the same room, possibly the same material.

I can't tell you, but "80s" sets off alarm bells for me regarding asbestos.

Take a good mouth/nose mask against fine dust and cut out a piece for material analysis.

Hello Yvonne, thanks for the warning. The stuff is installed in a mountain hut and is supposed to last there as long as possible. They probably wouldn’t be happy if I just cut out a piece, even with respiratory protection.
