Dear forum members,
We live in a house where we have never used the wood-burning fireplace (previous owners didn’t either). The chimney is a 16cm pipe about 14m long; the pipe runs straight up without any bends inside a chimney shaft.
Now we would like to convert our fireplace to a gas fireplace. For our desired gas fireplace, we need a 15/10cm LAS chimney pipe. We want to insert this into the existing 16cm pipe.
Question: What costs should we expect for the conversion of the chimney? For the chimney pipe (14m long) I have already received an offer of EUR 1200 including VAT. What costs for labor and other expenses should be expected?
Regards, Sven
