What have you designed in the area behind the radiators?

Hello,

we have a heating renovation scheduled in the old building; we took over the house used. The previous owners also wallpapered behind the old radiators, so today it is no longer accessible without completely dismantling the respective radiator. Now I would like to take the opportunity to install a durable solution behind the radiators.

How have you solved this problem?

After all, wallpapering is certainly done more often than radiators are replaced.

If I have arrived in the wrong forum, please move it.

A heartfelt thank you in advance and best regards

We also have wallpaper on it. I don't find it very nice myself, but you just can't change that that easily. Since you have all the radiators off anyway, maybe oil-based paint would be good. There is also radiator paint available. For better insulation, aluminum foil might be good too, but I'm not exactly sure how it behaves with heat. It really shouldn't catch fire. Since the heat is then radiated, the radiator might heat better. Marie

As a rule, there is wallpaper behind the radiator. But oil paint is also a good alternative and simply lasts longer than wallpaper. This oil paint is also available in the colors of the radiators.

I have an oil panel behind the radiators and it is as large as the radiator. It can also be cleaned easily.

The problem is that it is also difficult to reach there and it is better to remove the radiator...
