What are the options - private road must be water-binding

Hello everyone,

Due to the "allegedly" undersized channel, the municipality is demanding that the private road on a large private property (about 15 plots) must have a water-bound surface.

Often, sand-gravel mixtures are found in this context, similar to those found in parks.

Are there any alternatives, especially towards paving?

I would like a "solid" road.

Regards, Thomas

Good evening Thomas,

Unfortunately, the "jack of all trades" does not exist ;)

Rhenish greetings

I actually have no idea. Especially what exactly water-binding means... But can't you lay filter gravel, chippings and then ecological paving on top? Or you use those "paver fitters" where completely gravel or something similar goes underneath? As I said, I'm an absolute layperson, but I'm currently also dealing with path surfaces where the water preferably does not remain standing...

There is permeable asphalt. Whether that is sufficient to meet the requirement "wasserbindend" I do not know.
