What amount would you estimate for the renovation?

Here I am again! Our previous plans unfortunately (or luckily if the new project works out ;-) ) did not work out. Now we have discovered a house that would be an absolute dream - however, it is in poor condition and the upper floor is still a shell. So we would have to invest quite a bit:

* Completely finish the upper floor of about 70m² (at the moment there are neither pipes nor plaster nor anything else - pure masonry walls!)

* Two bathrooms would have to be made

* The heating system would have to be completely renewed

* The exterior plaster has cracks and a coat of paint is due

* All floor coverings (total of 165m²)

These are just the things we know about so far. We could buy the house really cheaply but are worried that the renovation or refurbishment costs will exceed our budget. What amounts would you plan for such a project?! We have a maximum of €90,000 available for the renovation. Would you go for it or do you think it is not feasible?

Before you say a professional has to assess it: Understandable - but the evaluator will let us know in 2 weeks and we would like to have an initial point of reference or first opinions on feasibility. Many thanks in advance!

Hello,

If I could predict that reliably, I would become self-employed in the field of "fortune telling" :D

As it reads and assuming the shell's condition is good to very good, you will not get by with the resources available to you. Regarding the required investment volume, in my opinion, the first digit is a 1 and the second definitely not a 2 ;)

Kind regards

Thanks already for your assessment! Fortunately, our bank forgot to take the KfW loans into account and we actually have not 90 but 120k available - so according to my initial calculations, it should work out - fingers crossed that it really works!
