Well/construction site, public. No water supply available

Hello everyone!

I am interested in a plot of land near Plön and have so far exchanged a few emails with the real estate agent. I have now learned that there is a well for drinking water on the property. This well is still used by 2 neighbors. There is no public water supply there.
What would one be getting into? Does anyone have experience with something like this? Has anyone had experience with a similar situation?

Hello Lou,

ask the realtor if there is a private law arrangement or any written agreement about the usage. What you should expect is that the neighbors are allowed to collect drinking water from the well, regardless of the time. Even if this is not regulated in writing, it will probably be a customary right, meaning you cannot easily force the other two neighbors to dig their own wells.
