Water damage heating questions...

Hello,

I had a small water damage on Tuesday due to a defective heater.
Today, a drying device was installed for me and is expected to run for 2 weeks.

The worker said I can turn off the drying device overnight because it is very loud.
Is that correct?

How will the core drillings under the baseboard be filled again? Or will the holes from the core drillings remain?
