Hello everyone,
I am currently in the process of replacing an old shower panel with a standard shower fixture and came across the following water connection, see attached picture.
I am not familiar with pipes coming out of the wall at an angle, so my question is whether it is possible to proceed without damaging anything or if it was intentionally installed that way back then and nothing can be screwed on?
In case the question arises, no I have not yet tried to unscrew anything because I do not want to cause any damage.

Thank you very much

They certainly don't come as an angle from the wall, the 90-degree angle was probably screwed on and you can see it now. In this respect, this angle should also be removable again.

Great, I already thought that somehow. Still a bit surprised, since only the corners are visible and the rest is hidden behind the silicone. Then I'll get started on unscrewing.

You can first expose the silicone or the other end a bit in the Wanf. Then you should be able to see it.
