Hello,

yesterday we observed bees/wasps flying into the roller shutter box. We suspect there is a nest here.

What should be done? What should we do,

Best regards

If they are not disturbing, then nothing at all. In all other cases, call in the experts, as many species are protected by nature conservation laws and unauthorized removal/killing can become expensive.

First, find out whether they are wasps, bees, or wild bees.

In case of bees, contact a beekeeper. But since they come as a large swarm, you would notice it.
Wild bees look for a hole, lay the egg inside, and close the hole with a clay-like mixture.

But I suspect they are wasps.
If it is early enough and the queen is flying in and out, I would try to prevent them from settling. (Tape holes, etc.)
If they have settled, it is difficult, as depending on the federal state, fines of up to 50,000 euros are possible.

If you are afraid of wasps and/or allergic, have a professional come to remove them. If not, endure it for a year; wasps usually do not settle in the same place twice. Of course, there are exceptions.
