Hello,

in my construction and service description it says hot and cold water pipes made of aluminum composite pipe.

Can anyone tell me if this is good or bad? Possibly own experience regarding water quality, noise development, health aspects or similar.

Thank you very much for the help in advance.

So I was also surprised when they started installing plastic pipes in our house. I only knew copper pipes. The advantage of plastic pipes is probably that they are easier to install because they come directly on the roll and are quite flexible. Copper pipes, on the other hand, have to be soldered. Furthermore, I have pleasantly noticed that later rework is also cheaper. For example, I had additional shut-off valves installed in the basement. For this, the pipe only had to be cut at the relevant point and the connections with the valve were simply crimped. It was quite inexpensive in terms of effort. I don't believe there are health disadvantages because plastic is rather less susceptible than copper, and since fewer connection points are needed, the possibility of leaks is probably lower. But I am not an expert in this; this is my own opinion.
