Walnut parquet strong price differences

Good evening

We are currently planning to lay parquet in our apartment. We would like to install walnut parquet and have already inquired with our specialist dealers. However, we are somewhat uncertain because there is parquet in plank format with 3 mm wood thickness priced at 140 euros, and then there is some for 40 euros! We want to buy a good product. But no 100 euro difference per sqm???

Are there good qualities for 60-70 euros? It should be oiled parquet.

Hello! Unfortunately, [Nussbaum] is one of the most expensive woods. [Schiffsboden] is still affordable, [Landhausdiele] rather not. We took [Schiffsboden], short length, 2nd choice for 20 euros/sqm as a compromise for the children's rooms. [Landhausdielen] regularly cost around 140 euros and up, everything offered to us below that was 2nd choice. That was interesting price-wise (40 euros/sqm), but either the quantity was too small or we didn't like the grading or the parquet had defects:mad:. So I would classify 70 euros per sqm as overpriced 2nd choice. In the end, we took another wood, 2nd choice [Landhausdiele] for 30 euros instead of 130 euros:p. So you have to be flexible - or rich!
