Hello dear forum community,

I am shortly before the acceptance of our new build and have inspected the construction beforehand.

I have now noticed something about the tiles in the bathroom, unfortunately I am a complete layman. Basically, it is well done, but the solution for the toilet flush is, in my layman’s opinion, not optimal or has failed. Since I really have no knowledge of the subject, I would like to get some feedback here before I confront the builder about it.

I have attached a picture. You can see that the tile(s) have been cut into pieces a little. Can't this be solved differently?

Many thanks to the experts in the group.

That could have been solved much more elegantly. Certainly a small reason to be annoyed, but probably not a reason for a revision. You just overlook that ;)

Wouldn't you include that in the report during the acceptance? The lower piece is already unfortunate. But on the upper piece you can also see that the cutout was made too deep. The cuts are clearly visible there.

It is practical that the BU simply installs a larger flush button, and that's it. It can happen.

Ok, I understand. But he still has to make corrections...

Yes, with a larger button. Then the cut that is too deep is gone and the chopped stuff is also covered. There is definitely a larger set that you will like.
