Hello everyone,
I am currently building a house with GU.
The plaster was done with Q2. I paid 2000€ more for Q3 to the craftsman.
Painting and tiling are done as own work.

Now I have found several damaged spots on the wall. There are scratches, dents (probably caused by the craftsman). Or sometimes there are spots from the socket, switch. The electrician was not careful when knocking out the deep box.

I spoke with the site manager. He says that it is the painter's responsibility. The painter (in this case me) should fix these spots afterwards.

How was it with you? Preferably in both cases: painter as own work and as subcontracted work.

Thanks to you for the response.

We coordinated the trades among each other, they solved such problems immediately. You are the painter? Fix it and that’s it. It’s no big deal.

It would be disproportionate to have the craftsman come again because of the trifles.

clearly painter,
therefore a plasterer does not start again and neither does an electrician

The painter is responsible for it. Depending on the severity of the damage, I would possibly withhold something from the person responsible. That was the case with us. The electrician was careless multiple times. Ceiling outlets had to be relocated after the wallpapered ceiling. I deducted the additional costs our painter charged from him.

Patching up minor dents is a normal part of the painting trade to prepare the surface. Normal.
