Wall shelf for pantry: What is stable enough?

I would need your experience with wall shelves. We have a house built with timber frame construction. The walls are covered with gypsum fiberboard. In the pantry, I wanted to make a shelf myself with furniture panels. Yesterday I got the boards and also wanted to take the shelves with me. The simple wall rails from the hardware store seemed very unstable to me. Which ones have you installed or would you recommend?

Really? Build it yourself when there are ready-made systems available cheaply? Depending on what you want to store, a 'Schwerlastregal' might also be the right choice.

Can't you use Ivar? It doesn't have to be custom-sized.

I would definitely recommend the simple shelf rails from the hardware store :D I have them in the pantry too, they are definitely sturdy enough for that. You can also just use a few more rails if you’re worried it won’t hold..

Otherwise, simply use wooden beams as supports and then attach the shelves to them with metal brackets. If it becomes a shelf that goes from one wall to the other, beams running crosswise and fixed with beam shoes also work.
