Hello forum,
I am currently looking for the right wall structure for our house.
- Building near a railway line.
- It will be faced with brick.
I tend to go for aerated concrete for the walls. As you can read online, these are not so good when it comes to sound insulation. I would be interested in your opinion on this, especially regarding a nearby railway line.
My proposal for the wall structure from outside to inside:
Outside air
10 cm brick facing
2.4 cm air gap
6 cm insulation
26 cm aerated concrete (if available in that thickness)
approx. 1.5 cm plaster
Inside air
So, what do you think about that?
What should be used as insulation?
Should the interior walls be made of sand-lime brick to avoid hearing everything from the adjacent rooms?
Thanks and regards
Rock
