Getting our kitchen next week. I only have concerns. The wall cabinets rest below on the existing tiled backsplash. How will the wall cabinets be hung so that they hang vertically?
The cabinets have a distance of 1 cm from the wall at the top due to the rail. To compensate for this at the bottom, spacers are nailed in. You then leave these out and place something of the appropriate thickness between the tiles and the cabinet at the bottom, provided that the tile backsplash is not thicker than 1 cm.
It is actually normal for the wall cabinets to extend slightly above the bottom edge over the tile backsplash. If they ended flush at the top, there would always be a dirt groove there. That would be unattractive. It would look odd if the tile backsplash is not perfectly level.
