It remains to be clarified to what extent the electrician who modifies the device is then liable ... Otherwise, it is helpful to know that some electronic halogen transformers do not work well with low-voltage LEDs because they do not generate enough load. Regards, IKEA-Freund

Doesn't matter, the manufacturer is out since the device no longer complies with its original specification and approval.
