I want to install a controlled apartment ventilation system. Since I will do the ceiling inserts for the electrical distribution and the sanitary lines myself, I think I can install the ventilation at the same time and keep the costs low. The distribution systems look well thought out. With the controlled residential ventilation devices, I am really facing a dilemma. First, I want to say that all companies sent quotes very quickly. There is a very wide range in prices. Around 3000.- are the RecoupAerator from the company Zentralbelüftung and the Eco400 from the company Dreiecktechnik. Tobler, Nilan, Helios, Cosmatech, and Zehnder are already at 5000.- The device 90 from Avenco is in the middle. That means the difference is over 50% between the two "price breakers" and the rest. For my house, 300m3 air volume is sufficient. I want an optimal price-performance ratio but don't want to overpay for it either. Has anyone had experience with the devices around 3000.-? Heat recovery? Noise disturbance? Quality? Service? Many thanks for your answers :)

Controlled Ventilation

Hello Fischi
from your comparison criteria such as
- Acoustics
- Energy efficiency (heat recovery, efficiency of the fans, pressure loss of the whole unit ...)
- Separation efficiency and service life of the filters --> Service
- and also the dimensions and material/workmanship of the unit
the price difference results.
I recommend you consult an HVAC professional who will create a clear comparison for you - and don’t save money in the wrong place. Because usually a higher investment pays off within the next 10-20 years.

Greetings from the coal shoveler

That is an interesting topic and we are also facing this question. That is true, the price differences are indeed considerable. A comprehensive consultation can only take place on site.

That's true, that's already a considerable price difference. We have the [Vallox90 ventilation unit] from [Avenco]. It cost around 3,200 francs back then. We are satisfied and the service is good. Maintenance is carried out regularly. The noise disturbance is also limited and it doesn't bother anyone in the family.

I have just looked at this ventilation unit and it meets our expectations. I find your assessment regarding noise disturbance, Roman, to be good. Every manufacturer claims that their device is completely silent. However, in practice, it often looks different.

That is all too costly for me, and I wonder why I need that? It’s okay in the office, but in my house? For me, that is an unnecessary expense.
