Hello community,

I thought I’d reach out to you today with my "problem." I am self-employed as a craftsman and transport all my stuff in a van. Of course, packed in boxes and secured with lashing straps. However, I have – maybe also because of the lockdown period – developed a liking for creating order. The next project is now the van. I would like to install something there that allows me to quickly and easily stow everything. Does anyone know practical devices/providers?

Looking forward to the tips!

Thanks and regards
Martin

I only know Sortimo as a manufacturer of such systems. I think they even have an online configurator for some car models.

What kind of craftsman are you? Can or do you want to work with wood? Then maybe build something yourself. The carpenter's car looked tip top. Everything was sorted in matching compartments.

But not every craftsman had neat cars: The roofer preferred [Baueimer] for transporting tools, as they are the easiest to handle on a ladder. Accordingly, everything was somehow scattered in the vehicle. He was good at his craft.

We have a Vivaro van, long version. On one side, we installed shelves made of OSB boards for assortment boxes, L-boxes, etc. Smaller compartments and holders for all the small stuff were added gradually. Everything is painted white - looks good and makes sense in everyday use. It is also precisely tailored and costs only a fraction of Sortimo.

Hello everyone,

I'm getting back to you a bit late. I am a painter and actually don't really want to build something myself. Not because I don't trust myself, but because I have been thinking about it for a long time and now want to "treat" myself to something from a professional. I hope you understand what I mean.

I also came across Sortimo in my research. Do you happen to have any personal experience with it or know someone who has already shared their opinion about it?

Best regards, Martin

Is there even any competition to Sortimo? If you’re willing to spend the money, then get some advice, as far as it’s possible again. They should also have an exhibition where you can look around and "test". I haven’t heard anything negative so far.
